Dear Tucson Vendors-
 
Some good news on the tax rates:
YOU DO NOT NEED A CITY OF TUCSON LICENSE!!!  After a couple of vendors contacted the City of Tucson, they mentioned that Tucson Expo Center is "outside" the city limits. This is NOT what they told us, but we just called and confirmed you will not have to get a City of Tucson license or pay taxes to Tucson City. 
 
A state license is all that is required for the Tucson Expo Center.  The rate is only 6.1% (at the Expo Center).  That is the basic state tax percentage (lower than Phx).
 
For those of you that have signed up for a City of Tucson license; we are very sorry for your hassle. We are very upset the person did not indicate to us that Tucson Expo Center was outside the city limits when we called. You will have to call and let them know by email or mail that you request a refund for your fee that mis information was given you. Sorry...we will do something nice for you at a show for next year and we apologize for your wasted time.
